Best Domain Name Registrar
- Cheapest canadian domains, also does the regular ones at a slight premium (compared to goaddy). Good customer support via email.By nik, 2 years 6 weeks ago
Lest someone thinks I'm biased against RegisterFly, I've deleted the quest items and re-posting this as a regular link. I have been using Registerfly for a few years now, sticking with them from the time they were a reseller until now that they're officially accredited.
What made me switch to them was definitely for the low prices, and I liked the DNS hosting feature that allows you to edit your records. I know this is nothing new these days but back in 2001 or 2002 it was pretty cool.
By dready, 2 years 6 weeks agoI've been a customer of theirs for years. And the best part is, they're lean and mean and super-fast and the updates are wicked quick. Oh, and they do other stuff, too. Like DNS hosting and mail forwarding. These guys rock.
Full disclosure: They're a reseller of NetSol and they're a little more pricey than some of the others, but they're really worth it in the whole "complete DNS management" arena thing.
By danielh, 2 years 6 weeks ago- I've got both my domains through here, very competitive with GoDaddy for prices and great little extras too! Cheers Lise :^)By Carmilla5, 2 years 6 weeks ago
- I've registered about 10 domains with EasyDNS. It's great if you have a box at home where you want to host your data. If you get dynamic IP from your internet provider, just install a small piece of s/w and it automagically updates EasyDNS database and the DNS servers. Plus they are Canadian (based in Toronto) and have excellent customer service.By jansen, 2 years 6 weeks ago
- I've had very good experience with them for domain names. Not so much for hosting though!By BlueCockatoo, 2 years 6 weeks ago

About ChangeIP.com
One of the reasons that I love changeip.com so much is the very personal nature of their support and the vast featureset they offer. As a contract webmaster, I can register my clients domains (or transfer) to them and then I have full control to set up any sort of DNS record necessary and even make near-realtime changes.
I am not a paid spokesmodel -- just a very satisfied customer (some might say a Raving Fan). ;-)

easy dns
I've worked with them for the past 2 years or so, and had no problems. The dns updates used only to occur at the top of the hour, but recently they've made hardware updates to fix that. Support is good, the website is easy to use, and they offer all of the dns and email features you could want.

Dotster
There's also dotster.com - another popular budget provider, but I haven't had much experience with them.
