whoa, okay then

so appartenly I got points for doing that blog entry.  Weird.  I know people patrol the quests, that's not too hard.  But how do administrators patrol the blogging?  I could just site here and blog my way to 300 points the way a spammer pollutes a forum--either one word per entry or one letter, or just plain nonsensical items.

If you are an admin, or officer of some sort for this site and you come across this blog entry, will you please answer just one question for me?

- Do you guys have to patrol the blogs as well as the quests?  and if so, how do you do that?  and if not, how can you be sure that someone is not abusing that portion of the point system?

Self-policing.

I think ultimately the site will be able to self-police. There's been a glut of popularity since the TechCrunch post yesterday (heck, that's where I saw it), but a lot of the noise is people just checking things out (especially in the Blog section). There are lots of neat Quests being posted and some pretty cool links (StoreMarks).

But how? Well, there's lots of talk on the Forums about using some sort of ranking system, which I think is a great idea, and I'm betting it's already in the development pipeline. ;-)
